Lightning review of LouderVoice for Android

Below is a very brief review of the new Google Android application, by LouderVoice.com, which allows you to browse, search and write reviews, much like on the main site. They’ve included some basic location-based features, such as the ability to automatically set the location of a given review from your phone’s GPS, and to search for reviews in your current location.

Great feedback and all made sense.

Re your question in “Write Review”. The address text fields are there for when you are reviewing a business and want to include their address but you aren’t actually located there, so your GPS co-ords wouldn’t be relevant. We should clarify that in the app.

Ah, now that you say it, that makes sense. I do think it should be clarified (even with a “?” link, so as not to clutter UI). That and/or there should be visual feedback that my GPS coords will be sent (what if I’m indoors, and there’s no GPS lock?).

Still though, a decent app that works well and is easy to figure out. A nice first version delivery!

We’ll do that.

Note that it doesn’t send your GPS location unless you tick the check-box. We try to grab a GPS lock when you enter that screen so you are not waiting for lock when you click send.

I need to test what happens when you tick the box but it can’t get lock.
