Having read someone’s signature on Boards.ie, I Googled “digweb metro”, not realising the typo in Digiweb.
I was greeted with Digiweb and Perlico having some sort of ISP ads war in the sponsored links:

However, if you don’t mistype Digiweb in your Google search, all appears to be friendly again:

If you have multiple monitors, and use UltraMon to make life a little easier, and you happen to use Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS), then you may have come in to the same problem as I (and many other users of UltraMon and WindowsBlinds it seems).

So, we’ve new laws on email spam, and a general consensus to try and reduce, or eradicate, the problem. What are we to do with junk snail mail spam? Well, Damien Mulley talks up a recent Indo piece which highlights an under-performing service by the IDMA to allow users logged out. He raises very valid points about how ineffective it is, but stops short of the bigger problem, in my opinion.

No.
Why? Because bandwidth costs money. If current broadband users were sold products that guaranteed bandwidth availability, they would not be paying the €20-60/month they currently do.
